Notice Regarding Construction of Manufacturing Plant in the Philippines

 Our consolidated subsidiary Pricon Microelectronics, Inc. (Philippines) will build a manufacturing plant on land acquired in November 2022. Details are as follows.

1.Purpose of building a manufacturing plant

 As the global demand for semiconductors increases, we will build a stable supply system for semiconductor test sockets and respond quickly and efficiently to diversifying customer needs such as in-vehicle equipment, communication equipment, and industrial equipment. For this reason, Pricon Microelectronics, Inc. (Philippines), a consolidated subsidiary of the Group, will construct a new Manufacturing Plant (Plant 3) to increase production capacity.

3.Features of the new plant

  • Building an integrated production system from parts manufacturing to product assembly
  • Introduction of a traceability system and a molding equipment operation monitoring system for the purpose of quality improvement
  • Labor-saving through robotization and combined production with humans
  • Introduction of solar power generation for power saving(planned)

4.Outlook for Business Performance

 The impact of the construction of the production plant on the business results for this fiscal year is minor. We will promptly disclose any matters that should be disclosed in the future.
