Our consolidated subsidiary in the Philippines, Pricon Microelectronics, Inc., has completed construction of its Factory 3 and held a grand opening ceremony today.

Pricon Microelectronics, Inc., established in 1985, produces test sockets, burn-in sockets, connectors, flexible printed circuit, and more. We have recently constructed factory 3 with the aim of providing a stable supply of semiconductor test sockets due to the expanding global demand for semiconductors, and speedily responding to the diversifying customer needs of connector solutions.
The factory 3 has built an integrated production system from parts manufacturing to assembly, and has introduced a traceability system and manufacturing process monitoring system aimed at improving quality, as well as labor saving through robotization and assembly in a clean room. In addition to adopting a foundation structure that complies with Zone 4 (seismic intensity 7) of the National Structural Code of the Philippines 2015 (NSCP), the building is designed to allow installation of solar panels on the roof.
Following the Factory 1 (total floor area: 8,951 m2) and Factory 2 (total floor area: 6,408 m2) currently operating in Laguna Province, the Philippines, the third factory (total floor area of 7,065 m2) is now completed in Batangas Province. When all three factories are operational, the production capacity will be approximately 1.5 times higher compared to before (when only the Factory 1 and Factory 2 were operational).
The grand opening ceremony was attended by 60 people, including Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) Deputy Director General Vivian Santos, who participated in a ribbon cutting, tree planting, and a tour of the new factory.
